Burris Ballistic Plex Recticle

I really like it...The Fullfield II is also a nice "middle of the road" scope for the money...I have a 3x9x40 and a 3x9x50, both on varmit rifles...The B. Plex is simple enough to use without having to go the adjustable turrent route...

Yellowhammer,

I have a 3-9 ff-II on a CZ in 204. I really like it on this light weight rifle used mostly for calling.

I'm pushing the 35 Berger at 3850.
With a 200 yd zero the second cross is right on at 300.
Using the 3rd cross at 400 the bullet is impacting aprox 2" high. That's aproximate because this little bullet doesn't group well for me at 400. Does very well at 300.
I have used mil-dots but this is much easier(as in simple for me)
You will just have to varify points of impact with the load you use with it.

If u follow the directions on the Burris website under the Tech Notes page, it gives u an excellent description of the various ways to sight in the gun/load u're using to get this BDC-type reticle to zero as close to even 100 yd. intervals as possible. IMO it's a great basic ballistic reticle.

I get along great with the BPlex and the FFII scopes.
Have a 3x9 on my lighter upper and a 4.5x14 on my fat barrel upper.
Simplicity is a good thing.

Clayman

I have the FFII with ballistic plex on my .222 mag. I really like it - not too much junk in the way, but nice clear reference points for longer shots. I haven't had a chance to see how they match up to my loads yet.

I have a 3x-9x on a Contender carbine in .223 Rem, and a 4.5x-14x on a Savage 22-250. I like them, really nice scopes for the money.

Yep I have the Burris with BPlex on my 223. Great scope for the price. 3x9.

Have made several long shots thanks to the BP.

I love burris I own several of them. I have the scope in question the 3x9x40 Fullfield II on my 7mm Remgington Ultra Mag. I have had no problems with it on that hard kicking thing. In fact the Ballistic Plex works so well that I can get about a paper plate sized group at 600 yards and beyond. (I consider that good for me) Truly a wonderful scope for the money. I may get bashed on this but so be it. I feel the burris is one of the brightest and sharpest scopes out there. My buddy has two leupold's and I feel the burris is much better especially when you take into account the price. Lifetime warranty....Ok I am done....

Ya'll talked me into it. I went to the local Academy to look at one. They only had one left for $199.99. It also came with a set of Burris 8x32 binocs for that price.

I had $50 in gift cards, so I put it on lay-away. I'll put it to the test in a couple of weeks.

You won't be sorry. I have one on a 308 and love it. To give you some idea of quality, I've had a Burris pistol scope for at least 15 years and had it on some nasty kicking T/C pistols and it still works great.

nice choice on a scope...I watch these on e-bay and regularly get them for 120-130 bucks...3x9x40 ffII w/balistic plex

I agree with quackwacker, best I have found for 200 or under.

The Burris' are no longer Made in USA, since Beretta bought them out. You won't get a free "gift" with a USA model. The one obvious place where Burris lacks compared to a Leupold is in eye relief. Not as good, don't care what the ads say. If you chrono your load, call Burris, tell them the cal, bullet wt., velocity is, they can tell you what each of the hash marks on the lower crosshairs should designate......2MG
