Burris Customer Service

I picked up a little Marlin 915YS which is a stainless single shot .22 youth rifle.

It's a litle bitty rifle I thought my girlfriend's grand kids would enjoy.

I went searching the internets for a Burris Mini 4X to scope it with. I figured the little scope would go well on the little rifle.

I found one (I had to look hard), and sent the guy a money order.

When it arrived, I was disappointed to find that the objective lens was cloudy. I mounted it up to see if it held zero. It did. i noticed the elevation adjustment was not a real firm "click" compared to the windage.

I called Burris they said "send it in."

Two weeks later I received it back.

Quote:Replaced defective bushings.
Replaced defective objective lens.
Installed Hunter knobs.
Scope tested and re-centered.
Scope was recenter-ed, recoiled, and fog tested.
Scope functions properly.

All covered under warranty.
Not bad for a 25 or 30 year old scope.

Helluva warranty and great customer service.

That little scope looks really nice on the little rifle. The youngins will have a ball with that rig.

Thanks for the fix.

I love this little scope. You guys should bring them back.

When did you guys stop making these?

My serial number is 186XX. Any idea how old it is?

Thanks again.

Yeah we're here. We mostly just see what people have to say and fix whatever problems come up the best we can. It looks like they did a good job for you. I'm glad to hear that.

The fixed power scopes have been declining in popularity for some time now. I know there are still quite a few of you die hard guys out there and I have to admit that I'm also a fan of a good fixed 4X or 6X scope. In all honesty I'm not sure we'll have something back in our lineup any time soon but I could be wrong. That's just my opinion on it.

I'm going to say that your scope is probably from the mid-80's. I'm looking into when we stopped making that scope mostly out of curiosity so I'll let you know what I find. I think the first 3 digits of your serial number represented the month and year of manufacture back then. I'm checking on that too.

They do look at post, they contacted me after i asked a question on here, and more than took take of my concern.

Hats off to Burris

I have a Burris signature select on my 22-250. Bought it new and after I got it home I turned the power down and saw a crack in the scope. The small store I bought from told me that I dropped it, last time I went there. That was five years ago. The crack is still there, its only visible at the lowest power setting, the scope still holds zero, tracks perfect and is crisp and clear. Can't bring myself to take it off. Maybe this winter I will since I now have an A.R. for yotes. Im sure Burris will take care of it, then I will add to there accolades.

Burris Optics is top notch in my book with their customer service.

I was needing a rail mount for my FFII to be put on my turkey gun. The original place I ordered from was cheaper than the rest of the ones I looked at. But after ordering, it came up as a backorder. Time went by and it was getting closer to turkey season and I needed to get a mount to be ready for the opener.

Burris Optics on OldGobbler.com came through for me in a big way.... After reading a thread I posted needing a mount asap, where to find one.... Burris Optics sent me a PM and within a couple of days, I had my part in the mail. That is number one service in my book.... went out of their way to help me out.

Another guy on OG posted about getting out of hi truck and he dinged his FFII on the edge of the truck door.... It happened on just the right spot of the sight to crack the glass..... He posted about it in the optics forum there to express his being upset about doing such a thing during season... and how he didn't know if Burris would repair it since it was his fault... figured it would be expensive too.

I want you to know, ole Burris Optics replied to his thread and said "send it in, we'll take care of it"!!

I am a firm believer in good customer relations and service.... Burris will be getting more of my business in the future!

I also give Burris a thumbs up. I had a Burris PERP AR scope mount that I had an issue with. I sent it back to them and was just wanting the piece I had an issue with. They sent me back a brand new mount. And did it rather quickly. I have always heard great things about any problems people have had with their products.
