More years ago than I care to remember, in preparation for my 1st Maine Moose hunt, I purchased a Burris variable to mount on my .338 win.mag. The first shot at the range, resulted in what appeared to be black specks appearing in the scope, a 2nd shot & the crosshairs became canted, and with the 3rd shot the cross hairs disappeared entirely. Approximately 2 months later the scope was finally returned to me at which point it was sold. Long story short, their customer service was lousy & since that time I have been a devoted Leupold man. Customer service & the willingness to stand behind their product means a great deal & to date Leupold has never dissapointed me (even when a few yard sale purchased models were returned for service).Take it for what it's worth.
