Burris Scopes

i have a burris signature series 4x16x44 #200772 lighted reticle ballistic plex and it makes night into day great glass very clear no problems it is awesome in low light

3x9x50 on my 25-06, good clarity, excellent scope, though i have the mil-dot, and the reticle is a little busy for me.

I have FF2 in 4.5-14x42 & 3-9x40 both with B-plex. Very good scopes for the $$$.
Recommendations would be based on your avg. shot distance. You can't go wrong with a 3-9 to cover to bases...

I am leaning toward the FF2 4.5x-14x with the B-Plex. How accurate are the diferent cross refferences in the manual pretaining to the dot spacing?

I have the exact scope that your're looking at. It's a great scope and I think the references work well. They are dead on from 100 to 400 yards on my .308. However I think with each different load it varies. You'll just have to shoot your gun and see how close they are with your rifle and loads.

I also use Burris. Just got done installing Ball. Plex reticles in 2 4-12X Minis. Have a 4.5-14X FFII Ball. Plex on a custom AR, 2 3-12X LER's Ball. Plex on SSP's, and a 6-24X Signature Ball. Mil-Dot on a long-range 6mm.

Phillipines! It figures. I thought I found an affordable American made scope.I suppose the less expensive Leupys are "out of country" also. How is the working class hero supposed to get away from this stuff? I have a Sightron 36x on a heavy varmint PPC that works super.Shot a 250 and 21 Xs with it Sat. It just bothers me that I couldn't swing the Leupy, and had to go over seas for one. Nuts!

The Fullfields are worth the money...I have two 4.5-14x42mm, Ballistic plex...One on my .204,and .243, and the things will hold zero. I have a FF2 3x10x50mm Ballistic plex on my .270...Don't care if they are Phillipino made, they do me good....gobblr addict

I have looked at the burris scopes and would purchase one but I use butler creek scope covers because of the wet/snow conditions we have and the whole variable adjustment turns. Is there a way around this???

I have 3 Burris' - 2 Signatures (6x24 and 8 x 32) and a 3x12 Black Diamond. I think they are clearer and brighter than my Leupolds. I also have a Pentax 6x24 lightseeker (made by Burris) that is very good.

I also like the Weaver Grand Slam series. They are probably the brightest and clearest I have seen and certainly for the price.

The Nikons I have looked at recently were from the Philippines also.

I have a FFII 3-9x40 with Ballistic Plex that I had to send back. It wouldn't hold minute of paper plate at 100 yds. Send it to Burris and had it back within 3 days. It's dead on now.

dogwood creek-all leupold scopes are usa made..including the rifleman & vx-1 if it has a gold ring its usa..i heard some other products range finders-bino's ect..are being made overseas i was told gold ring=usa made...

Well, it looks like Burris has a good following. I know the ones I have handled in the local gun shops seem to be a good quality scope. I too like the Weavers. They are very bright and clear. I did a little shooting through a Weaver 36x on another fellas bench rifle. I was impressed with the clarity. I think I can safely say I would purchase a Burris now. Based on all the positive feedback here from fellas like myself that expect the most bang for the buck. I knew I would get the skinny on them from fellow P-M ers. Thanks a bunch,R.J.

I have a Sig Series 4x16x44 Plex, Sig Series 3x9x40 Bal Plex and a FF2 3x9x40 Plex and they all hold zero, very clear optics and never a problem in low light.

The FF2 is a little tricky with the Butler Creek Scope covers when switching power, but that's usually only at the range and I can carefully slip it around into proper position without changing the magnification. I rarely set the scope above 4x in the field.
