Bushmaster carbon-15? and that vs. DPMS

Looking for a light weight AR. Is this a good option? Around 5 lbs. But maybe it is not going to hold up? and seems like there are issues with some accessories for the carbon-15 not being compatible with a lot of AR stuff?

And, everywhere I go, people conflict - some say dpms is bottom of the line, some say bushmaster is bottom of the line. But lots of good reports on here of dpms.

dpms oracle with an aftermarket free float tube and trigger seem to be the way to go so far. But that is still going to be a 9-10 lb gun after accessories..... i'll carry it if it's worth it.

They all make good guns. Dpms turns out metric tons of weapons and parts, so u will have a few bad parts everyonce in a while. The oracle is a decent entry level gun. If you dont like the way it shoots, you can always swap the barrel out for a custom one, if it doesnt shoot that is.

17tactical - what is that?!!?!?!
That looks really nice!
The plum crazy must be a lot lighter than the dpms lower then - I think the oracle is about 6.75 lbs upper and lower.

My oracle came new with a aluminum free float quad rail. and after the barrel broke in (about 150 rounds) it shoots sub-moa with just about anything i feed it, with reloads right at .5 moa.

nope it has the forward assist and dust cover. I figured it couldn't hurt to have it on there.

never had problems with my dpms. shoots reliablse and accurate. by the time i got accesories on it, its a little heavy. planning on building a lightwieght gun soon with a 11 or 14.5 inch barrel soon ....
