Does anybody have a Bushy Carbon 15 carbine?

If so, how is the accuracy wih the slim barrel?

My son has found one for $600, new, but neither of us know anything about them.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Cheap, light and somewhat accurate. Not a bad buy but it will never probably be a tack driver. What's your intended use, coyote? If so yes, it will get the job done, prairie dogs, not so much. I hope my comments help.

Yes Eric, your comments did help, as did the lack of response from the other members.

I took the lack of interest and response as a quiet negative.
And then there wasn't a lot of positive stuff, when I did a search on this weapon either.

I called my son and old him I wasn't getting a lot of love (if any) lol, for the rifle. He agreed that spending a little more and getting a better lower and a RRA upper would be better in the long run.

My son is a good kid (if 27 is a kid) and was looking at the light weight, as a plus, in case I would borrow it, the weight would be easier on my back. Even though a grown man with his own life, he still thinks about his pop and stepmom.

They are very light, but they don't use all conventional AR parts. A Frontier Armory polymer lower, skinny bbl., and judiciously selected parts will put you maybe a half pound over the Carbons in weight, with more conventional parts interchangeability. Great lite wt. gun to tote around [beeep]. Reliability reviews were spotty according to some users.

I've had mine for about three years. Thousands of rounds later and dozens of predators down; NO ISSUES TO DATE.

With a decent optic and shooter it will shoot Minute of Coyote to 300 yards.

I've handled and shot a couple of them. Always thought they would make the perfect coyote rifle. Very light and seem to be accurate enough.

i have had one for about 5 or 6 years. no problems, shoots good enough for what i use it for. it may be accurate, but it is so light and the shape of the fore end makes it hard to shoot accurately.
the trigger was crap, replaced that.
i have killed several coyotes with it, and a few marmots.
