what is the difference between v-match and say the predator/varminter, i see bushmaster has them both on guns america. which one is better, i also see there is a price difference

I believe they are mainly cosmetic differences except for the twist. Predator is 1 in 8 twist, V-match is 1 in 9. Predator comes with fluting, scope risers, vented handguard, and 2 stage comp. trigger. V-match is more plain, if you want any of that you have to add it on. Which would make the prices more even.

V-match is a 16" barrel and predtor is a 20" The varminter is 24". I dont think it is actually bushmaster on guns america. Just someone with that screen name.

The v-match comes in 16 " and i believe 20" and 24 " and are 1-9 twist as well. I believe all v-match barrels are crome lined where the varminter is not . The predator is is a 1-8 twist. Don't know if ithas a crome bore or not.

The main difference is the V-match has a chrome lined barrel. The v-match comes in 16, 20 and 24 inch barrels with fluting as an option. The varminter is a 24 inch with chrome-moly steel. Both are 1/9 twist.

The predator is a 20 inch version of the varminter with a 1/8 twist.

Chrome lining is supposed to last longer, thats why the military uses it. As far as accuracy, my chrome lined barrels shoot fine, I don't think there is much accuracy advantage between them. There are'nt many chrome lined bolt guns out there so its really a judgment call. How many thousands of rounds do you plan on shooting.
