Bushnell Banner 6-18x50

I have firefly 3x9 bushnell 3200 on muzzleloader and a 6x24x40 elite 4200 on bushmaster and love them both.Their pricy optics are great, have'nt had experience with banner line.

I have one, have had it for about 5 years on a variety of rifles from rimfire to 300 magnum, I use it for developing loads. It is a very good scope, positive clicks, good clarity, the best of the Bushnell Banner line. A good buy for just over a $100.

"anybody have one of these, how good are they?"

I do, check out the cheap scopes thread, the hornets nest one.
I wrote how well I like mine and so did some other guys.

I have one. I had it on my 223 calling rifle, but it didn't have a wide enough field of view. I took it off and went with a 3-12 power, much better. But, I still have and like it real well, I have it on my 17 HMR and it works great.

In the power range you are talking about I have no experience but I do have a Bushnell Banner Dusk & Dawn. It will be the last one I buy. I went to Sportsmans Warehouse looking for a better scope (higher $ too) but they had nothing that would work for my needs (parallax) besides this. I'd told myself before I went that I was through buying cheaper glass, but gave in. It won't happen again! Will it work... yeah, but after looking through better glass I can't bring myself to buy this quality of glass anymore. It may very well work for your needs though.

The banner line will hold zero. Optics are not the brightest, but what would you expect?

I had the 6-18, it held zero; it has a small field of view. Having said that, the scope never failed me. I sold it 4 years after I bought it to a guy to use on his deer rifle and he is still using it.

Good luck

I have exactly that model on my Rem 700 in 22-250, it has served me well, its a good scope, particularly when you consider the price. For a comparison I have another scope that cost twice as much on my other heavy varmint rifle, it is slightly brighter and slightly clearer, but remember it cost twice as much.

At the time I bought it they had a 6-18x40 and a 6-18x50, I figured the 50mm objective would help make up for the cheaper Banner line.

I'm quite happy with mine, it holds zero and works well for me, I have no plans to replace it.
