hi would a bushnell elite 3200 3-9 x 40 work on a ruger 10/22? i have the scope and will be picking up the gun.i'll be useing the set up for small game and coyote during the open deer season.

You bet it will work. I am very fond of the 3200 series of Bushnell scopes and think they are an excellent scope for the money. Many of my rifles wear a scope that actually cost more than the rifle itself did and my 10/22 is no exception.

Likely the 9X will not be used as much as when it is dialed down a bit but it is nice to be able to crank it up sometimes.

Like Rusty, I too am a fan of the 3200's and 4200 Bushnell line. I think it would work great unless you think that the 40mm lens looks too big on it. Good luck.

I too am a fan of the 3200's, and have one a top of my whitetail rifle. That will make a great scope for your 10/22. I wish Bushnell still made the 3200's too.

Parallax is set @ 100yds on said scope. Most rimfire scopes are set at like 50-60yds.

My 10/22 hunting rifle scope is set at 60yds.

On a 22 mag the 100yd setting is to my liking.

On a 22LR for hunting, I like the 60yd setting much better. On rimfire target rifles, I prefer adjustable parallax scopes, and that is what my target rifle wears.

Of course some companies, like Leupold will adjust the parallax to where you wish, if you mail it to them.

I don't think Bushnell offers such service. But you could do it yourself, if you so wish. I adjusted the parallax on a couple of Bushnells I used to own........

Me too, I think that for the money, they were among the best scopes ever sold. I would sure like to find another one, or two.
