Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x40 Scope

I have the elite tactical 6-24 which is a similar scope but first focal plane. The bushnell elite series in general is very nice, high quality scopes. I belive all elite series is covered by a lifetime warrenty aswell.

Not much bad...made in Japan maybe? That's why their cheaper than some of the others.

Not enough elevation or windage adjustment due to the scope being set up with 1/8 minute clicks. Optics are very good.

Not much bad at all! A lot of people dont know that this is the same as the old Bausch and Lomb 4000. I have one on my .220 Swift and just bought me another to put on my .243 AI that I am putting together. In my opinion they are one of the very best dollar for dollar buys in the optic world.

Now then, no side focus (no biggie for me) and they have 1" tube (again, no biggie for me) instead of the more common nowadays 30mm.

But great glass is great glass. What else to say about that?

If you are going to shoot past 400 yds know that you will go past one complete revolution on the turret. Just make sure you remember which mark your zero is set on. Like Rusty I had two B & L 4000. I sold one a couple of years ago, the other one I'm using this fall on my HP silhouette rifle knowing that I will probably screw up on my turret settings. I do wish that other scope manufacturers would offer glass that good. I think that the rain guard coating takes away from the clarity of the glass when I compared the 4200 to the 4000.
