Bushnell Fusion 1 mile ARC Binocular RF

I have the old model and they are about shot. Glass has a blue tint. Sent them in to Bushnell and they wouldn't fix them or warranty them. They are about 4 years old. My buddy has the new model and they seem 100 x better, no blue tint and good glass. Time will tell on them. I am leaning towards the leica's or the swaro's but tough to bite the bullet on that price tag.

The glass is pretty poor. Especially when compared to moderate glass for 1/2 the price. There is only a 1 year warranty, pretty sad.

For the same price, you can get some HD Bino's and a Vortex Ranger 1000 rangefinder. This is the only RF with a Lifetime Warranty.

All Voretex gear has a lifetime warranty, and I would be willing to bet that they are industry leaders in replacing equipment. That's not a good thing.
I had a set of the 1600 ARC about 3 years ago, and one day, (well after the 1 year warranty was over) the electronic system just went down. Not battery related, not dropped.

Called Bushnell, and told them the situation. They offered to fix them if they could, replace them if they couldn't...or they would upgrade them to the new Mile.

I opted for the latter and couldn't be happier. When my package arrived, I was happy to see they also included a coupon for 40% off anything they sell.

IF you already have a set of HD binos, and don't mind carrying two units (which I think is just foolish) Then you can explore different options.
If you don't run a set of high end binoculars already...you'll be pleased with the Fusion Mile.
Bushnell has unrivaled lasers at it's price point. You're not buying a $1000 set of binocs.
You're buying a LRF capable of 1900 yds that is built into binos instead of a monocular.

The Leica Geovid have superior glass, no question, but the laser isn't even close...and at nearly 2x the cost.
The Swarovski EL-Range have superior glass, and a comparable laser, at 2.5x the cost.
The Zeiss Victory RF have superior glass, and only range to 600, if you're lucky...and cost 3x

^^^^^^couldn't agree more.

I have the Fusion 1 mile, which is the "newer" model. Upgrades in the new version are significant enough to say it's not even related to the old version. They changed the display so they could have clearer glass (tint before was required to display range data). As far as warranty, a quick google check yielded lifetime optics warranty and a 2 year electronic warranty, not one year. Beyond that, the experience cbass describes doesn't surprise me one bit.

Mine have worked great for ranging and scanning. I can't figure what one would gain by carrying binos and a range finder for 95% of predator hunting situations and 75% of big game situations.

I had a pair of older ones, like Nick says above, poor glass with tint, Rangefinder worked good. I now have the Leica's couldn't be happier.
