picked up a 3x9 bushnell scope that has a turent marked from 150 to 450 yards i presume. then on the power change ring each power has a range designation. it has a duplex reticle with a secondery verticle crosswire. anyone know how it works ?

thanks Ed

Well, I was wrong, I can't find a thing that matches what you're describing.

Before you get too involved, zero that at high power, then switch to low power and see if it's still zeroed.

Just a recomendation. I had some problems with my Sportsman, let's say.

I was just doing a Google search, because I was looking for one of these scopes, when I stumbled upon this website. I felt compelled to inform you of how to use this scope (at least how it was explained to me).

When looking at the exterior of the scope, you'll see the range/magnification ring marked with a "D" which stands for deer, an "E" which is for elk and an "A" for antelope. When looking through the scope, you'll see a vertical and two horizontal lines. The way it was explained to me is you place the lower horizontal line on the belly of the animal and adjust the range/magnification ring until the upper horizontal line is on the back of the animal. At this point, your range is indicated on the adjusting ring. Dial that range into the elevation knob, on the top of the scope, and you're good to go, assuming that the scope was sighted in properly to begin with. Aim using the only vertical and the bottom horizontal line and squeeze the trigger.

Wanna sell it?
