Bushnell scopes: Banner vs. Legend

swift one

I am aware that the 3200 and the 4200 series scopes are just wonderful so I don't really need any input on those. I have used the Banner na dhave had some great succes with it. My question is, how does the Banner compare to the Legend in clarity? Especially in low light conditions. If anyone has had experience with Banner and Legend scopes, I would love to hear their input.

I have 3 of the Legends all in 5-15x40 with Mill dots.
A very clear scope for the money, but not sure how they compare with the Banner......I do know that they blow away the Trophy series in clarity.
I am sold on this scope for the amount of cash out lay involved.

Swift One,

I don't know about the new Banners, but I have one that is about 30 years old on my Ruger 77 25-06 Centennial Model. It's a 3X9 variable. I don't shoot it a lot but it does get shot every year. Every year I take it to the range to sight in and every year it just keeps shooting in the same place requiring no adjustment. The gun/scope combo shoots about minute and a half at 100 yards with 120 gr. factory ammo with no discernable change in the POI regardless of power setting. This combo has whacked a bunch of deer and coyotes over the years. I don't know what it looks like in terms of brightness when compared to other models because I have never had a reason to look through other models. Maybe I should check out something else. Could be I don't know what I'm missing.

The Bushnell Banner is one of my favorites. I don't know about the Legend. I never heard of it until this year. Bushnell is making their less expensive scopes like the Sportsman and Sportview in China. Be cautious of those rascals. I've had one of each and had to return both, couldn't handle any degree of recoil at all. Bushnell changed the Banner model this year, upgrading it from 6x18 to 6x24. I have one and like it a lot. Good optics on this model. I've always thought the Banner was the Bushnell sleeper for the price. I've had three and all three have served me well, being trouble free. I also have a couple of Bushnell (Bausch & Lomb) Elites in 6x24. They're the best of the bunch. I don't think you'll go wrong with the Banner. Best wishes.
