Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40

The first scope I bought was a cheapie thing at Kmart some 25 years ago for my .22 RF.
After that I got some low end Tasco scopes for my centerfire rifles. It took about three years for me to finally learn that only wealthy people could afford cheap scope. Since then I've been customer to Leupold, Burris, Nikon and Swift.

Well, last week I broke the trend and bought a 3-9x40 Bushnell Trophy for $75 through the mail. Man, this scope's optical quality puzzled me. It actually looks cleaner than my eight years old Leupy VariXII. I bought it with the intention to mount it on my cheap ole Marlin .22RF. But after looking through it I decided to mount it on the CZ527 (.223 cal). I have not yet taken it to the range to check it out.

The question here is: does anyone have experience with this particular scope on a centerfire rifle in the 30-06 class?
If it can hold POI on a 30-06 I think I am going to kiss Leupold, Burris and Nikon good bye from here on.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

My buddy has broken 2 of them on a 30-06. He took the last one back for a store credit and bought a Burris, I believe......

I've got a 3X9 Trophy that, over the last 6 years, has done time on a 30-06,a .270,a .223 and a .50cal muzzle-loader. I have since "upgraded" on the other guns & It now sits on a 22mag. It has always tracked good and held zero. IMO it's a very good scope for the money /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I have one on a model 70 .270 and it has held zero for years. My wife has one on her .243 a-bolt and it never varies from year to year. I just bought another one to put on my new Rock River and I'm sure it will do well also. I think they are fine scopes, especially for the price. I have a VX-1 on a .308 Browning and I seem to have to tweek it every year before rifle season starts. Wish I would have bought a trophy for it but I was bit by the "luppy bug" and thought they were better. Long story short, I really like them. But that is only my opinion. Hope it works out for you, I think you will like it.

I use this scope on an older Knight MK-85 muzzleloader...It gets me my deer every year. I can't complain. Had it since '92.

I have one on a 25 WSSM and have had no problem. I have had great luck with Bushnell products ( I currently own 5) They are not quite as clear as my Nikons but the deer can't tell the difference.
