Where is the cheapest/best place to buy powder online? Will they combine multiple containers of powder in one hazardous fee? Or do they charge the fee for each can of powder?

Haz Mat fee is per order. Not sure about cheapest place online. My local gun shop has powder cheaper than I can get it online though.

Much of the policy depends on the vendor. Powder Valley will mix and match powders for 1 haz-mat fee. They are one of the more flexible vendors I have delt with.

The shops within 90 minutes of me have a poor stock of powders and primers. I have a hard time finding what I want, and when I do find it there's not enough (driving an hour for one pound of powder is really lame).

Buying in bulk from Powder Valley is the only way for me to do it. I just bought 8 lbs of H335 for $141.55 delivered to my door. That equals out to about $17.65 per pound. The best price I can find within 90 minutes drive is $21.65 after tax.

So I'm saving $3 per pound, but most importantly, I have an adequate supply without having to constantly waste time driving around and look for what I need.

Try Natchez...I just made an order for 10lbs, if you order 10lbs or more they have a special, and pay half your hasmat fee ($10). You can also include bulk primers in the same shipment...Steve in Arizona

Try tntreloading.com, bought from them a couple of times, pretty good. If you buy enough powder or primers they pay the haz-mat fee. Give'em a look-see.

When ordering, me and a bud get together and place a large one with Powder Valley. They are good folks and have good prices if you order in quantity.

I buy surplus powder online. Buy 6 8 pounders and they pay the hazmat. The powder is $79 for eight pounds. Shipping for the six jugs comes to a little over $33.

Here in Colorado Springs, we've recently had a Sportsmans Warehouse open, so I haven't had to order online for almost 6 months.

Prior to SW opening here, chances were you couldn't find a pound of Varget within 60 miles of Colorado Springs 50% of the time.

Back in those days, I'd order (2) 8lb jugs of Varget at a time from Wideners.com.

Excellent service, great prices, and I have no complaints at all with them.

Mike

If you are anywhere near a Sportsman's Warehouse, compare before you buy online. Today I bought an 8# H335 for $111.99 Even with our high sales tax it comes up better than most places I've checked.

Thanks for all the replies,I appreciate it.I think I will check into powder valley. I have been paying $28-30 a pound localy. Not counting the 45 min drive to town and deisel being $3.30 a gallon!

That's how much I paid at Powder Valley- $111 for 8 lbs of H335, but then add $10 for shipping, plus $20 for hazmat. It's still a good deal for people who don't have good retail stores nearby.
