I live in trinity county in northern california's b zone area and I recently read the local paper which had an arctical about proposed changes to the 2010 deer season for the b zones.

This is for any one on here who hunts the b zones. Normally known as the killer b's or statistically has the highest buck harvest and hunter success rate in the entire state. Any who the arctical said that due to the supposed declining buck to doe ratio or population there-of legal bucks in the b zones next year the state will only issue one b tag
per hunter in addition to shortening the season. I will agree
that the deer numbers espesially bucks are down however still in reasonable numbers to where every one in my hunting party filled both or they're b tags this year including myself.

I think they should still issue 2 tags just make a 3 points or better rule for the second deer or something of that sort. Any one else hear of this. I just figured I would let some of you know so your not supprised when you can only kill one buck out of the killer b's next year.

I agree to a point with you there, I think they should have at least some doe hunts at least limited tags per zone however remember that the does are what make the fawn crops every year, though killing some does would improve the buck doe ratio a little but in the long run reduces the fawn crop. In my oppinion they need reopen the mountain lion state vote and take them off the protected list. Then let fish and game issue tags for mountain lions again, this would improve deer numbers for sure since the lions are vastly over populated in california now, I usually see one or two a year out scouting and hunting in recent years. my neighbors have had to kill them with permitts cuz they were killing horses.
