California Coyote Hunting

I'm headed down to a ranch in CA just north of LA by a few hours to thin some coyotes out for a rancher. Does any one have any calling tips for this time of year or would it be the same calls I would be using anywhere else? I was out to this same ranch a few years ago and they responded to coyote noises but wouldn't close the distance. Cow calf distress calls worked well but only for 1 or 2 sets. Really just looking for any information anyone has on calling in CA this time of year. Any help or information is appreciated

What ranch? Anywhere near Tejon?

I wouldn't use cow or calf calls in any area where there is cattle.

I hunt 2 to 3 hours North of LA and we use Adult Rat Distress sound quite a bit because we have lots of Kangaroo Rats. Rabbit distress sounds, Prairie Dog Distress and Coyote Pup Distress sounds also work good.
