I walked out into the garage (attached) the other day and was face to face with a possum as he tried to get into the garbage cans.  This was in the afternoon....full daylight and in the country.  This one was not bothered at all by our human scent or presence.  He just ambled off like no big deal.

Definately scavengers.  You might call one into the perimeter or get their attention as they wait for the critter to "die". Strange little creatures /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
