patncor; The only bear I have clled in was last year with a sceery rabbit distress call. Just this last winter I was able to pick up the bear cub distress. I was going to try it opening morning, but my favorite clear cut all ready had a beutiful black in it. Needless to say my first tag is still open. I'm down in the Vancouver area. And so far it looks as if we are going to have a great season. Allot of my hunting buddies have seen well over 5 this year all ready. I on the othe hand have been out 3 times and only have seen 1. Oh well, good things come to those who wait. Good luck and let me know how the cub tape works. I'm going to give mine a try tomorrow morning.
