Calvin Klein Obsession for Men cologne used to lure man eating tiger. Puma/bobcat attractant?

Just read an article in Drudge where a man-eater (may have killed up to 14 people) in India was lured by the use of Obsession for Men which contains a feline attractant from the civet cat (possibly a synthetic now). I wonder if this might be something to spray around your caller or decoy for bobcats & lions? Anybody tried it? I'm sure I'll get the usual "I've used it to attract "cougars" in singles bars" but how 'bout for out in the field?

When I lived in Mamoth Lakes Cal many many years ago there was a government trapper there who said the best thing to catch a male lion was a used cotex, never tried it so don’t know for sure

Parson, If you were single, asking some gal for a used Kotex would be the kiss of death i.e. "You pervert!" An understanding wife may well roll her eyes saying "Sure, fine, whatever".

Of those two mountain lion bait types the Calvin Klein Obsession For Men maybe cheaper and safer to acquire than the other bait in the long run.

Bobcat Gland lure seems to get mountain lions attention also. I put some Bobcat Gland lure on the bottom of two rocks in front of a trail camera and one lion was caught almost hugging one of the rocks. LOL

She’s 72 and long past that

Bob, that lion messed with the rock for 3 days in a row! WOW
I for sure would only call lions with a buddy so we could cover each other's back.

Probably not. However, it seems that in India they would rather the tiger have a citizen for dinner than a cow.

It might work if you were trapping. As far as calling, by the time scent would become an issue, you should have already dropped the hammer if you set your stand up correctly.

Along that line there was an old man that used to come in our parts store that said when he was in the military he was in Burma.
He claimed they used native people to help lead them through the jungle and such.
Every so often he said a Tiger would jump out and grab one of the natives and only the native's. So I guess they had a taste that was better to a Tiger?

If you read the article it said that after spraying the cologne the cat was spotted on a road. Maybe the STINK drove it out instead of attracted it.
