Camo cloth or tape?

Does anyone know where or who sells good camo tape or cloth for concealing a gun? Just cant go through and paint my rifle.

McNetts from Cabela's will work, just keep it free of scent like gun oil and keep it out of the sun in the truck. Even though it isn't adhesive backed, it will break down in extreme heat and get gooey. From what I remember, it is washable as well. It adheres to itself like an Ace bandage or sport wrap.

leelm,
Hey if you have a sportsmans warehouse near you they have it for $12 and have always had it in stock. Cabelas has it also but I think it is a dollar or two more than that.

Don't use the tape. When it gets hot it leaves a mess way worse than paint.

I figured it might be a mistake, but taped the tube on my AR anyway. Left it taped nearly a year and, you are correct. Had quite a sticky mess, but put a coat of Kroil on it and it wiped off without too much effort.

Pardon my ignorance but are you gentlemen saying the McNett cloth tape leaves a sticky residue if it gets hot?
I was planning on just getting some of the snow camo pattern just for winter hunting.

I shoot a Ruger M77 I had my wife pick up some camo cloth, she sewed it to fit my gun back to the chamber. Then she put elastic in the front and back of it. No residue from tape, if I want stainless barrel showing I take my sling off, and slide the cover off. Cheap and Simple......for a woman.haha

I used a cloth tape I found at a local sporting goods store and left it on the rifle a year. Don't recall the name, but it was not McNett. It was intended for use on guns and bows and worked very well, but left some sticky residue on metal. It was a lot easier to remove than I first thought, however. I tried lighter fluid, but that just smeared the residue around; knurled surface on float tube even cleaned up with little effort once I applied the Kroil.
