Camo sleeve to hide stainless barrel?

I love my Savage Model 16 but want to cover up the shiny stainless barrel for when I am coyote hunting. I have some roll of sticky ace bandage-type stuff but don't like it. Is there something quick and easy to slip over the barrel?

Hunter's Specialties sells a stretchy fabric camo gun sleeve. They're made to go over the entire rifle, which is the biggest pain in the butt ever - BUT, if you just use the barrel portion, it works well enough. Slip it on, slip it off, add a rubber band around the front and back to hold it in place.

How hot does your barrel get? I think dip is good over 300 degrees, still removable.

I've never tried it but it's a thought.

Permanent, ive had 2 barrels blasted and i like the finish. Grey, never shiny again.

Take an old camo t shirt, roll it 2x into a tube, sew along the bottom, sew a open slit area to slide around action & BAM a barrel cover & cheap.

many years ago i was kind of sure i needed my gun all camoed up for calling coyotes. but i have figured out over the years that if i aint waving my barrel around like a crazy man it dont need any kind of covering for coyotes. they really dont see it.

it can not hurt though. that mcnetts stuff is as good as it get for covering a gun. easy on, easy off.

Agree that it surely can't hurt to totally kill all glint on the rifle. But, it's not something I've ever worried about, either.

Can't say that it doesn't occasionally cost me a coyote? It might. So, like I said, agree it can't hurt.

But I'd put it way, way, waaaaaay down on my list of things to give a crap about.

What I find humorous, is that at least half a dozen times now, when I've posted a picture of one of my coyote hunting rifles, someone on this board has replied and told me I need to do something about the stainless barrels if I want to have any success. I usually reply back with a few pictures of the same stainless barrel next to piles of 10 or 15 dead coyotes

I got the bright idea to use that wrap stuff on my Yote gun. Changed my point of impact. Of course I didn't know that until I had missed a Yote.
