Sort of a joke actually, the Montana coyote besides looking so much nicer is so much softer than an Illinois coyote. I think as soft as a fox. Illinois coyotes feel coarse.

Our Colorado mountain coyotes are usually of the soft, silky variety, while the ones on the Eastern Plains have a course texture to them and are typically darker.

When I first started coyote hunting, a fur buyer I used called the mountain coyotes "Silky Whites", due to the texture and very light coloration.

Don’t be jealous but our coyotes down here can be used as a substitute for burlap.
