I have just aquired access to 2000 acres of virgin calling land that has wild hogs on it. The land owner wants me to remove as many coyotes and hogs as I can. Do hogs respond to any calls?

I have had them come in to hog feeding, pig distress, and rabbit distress...Best way to get rid of em is food...go to where they are eating.

Or you can bait them That's pretty common way here in FL. Don't quite think it's legal though. Oh hell, hands down the most effective way to get em is to get one of those hanging battery powered feeders and fill it up, wait a week and come back 30 minutes before the thing goes off and take the safetey off your rifle a soon as you hear the thing start spittin' corn. But to answer your orig question, yes, The best call I know if Juvenile pigs in distress either ecall or hand call, both knight and Hale make Hog calls. Easy to use, just put it in your mouth and pretend you just snapped a pair of vice grips on your ba**s! Usually only sows will come to that call. If you want the bigger less tatier ones to come try the feeding frenzy sounds.

Well, I wasn't TRYING to call them in, but they did come in to a stand because of the call.

I was in Arizona at the PM Hunt.

have had them come to "wild piglet in distress" ,
but they also like lip squek and woodpecker .
just pay attention to the wind .they can smell as good or better than a yote .you will need to set up pretty close ,they wont cover country like a dog will . /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
