For all the night hunters out there. I have used many hunting lights over the years and there are a bunch that will get the job done however if you want the best, check out the Carnivore 2 Professional Lights. I have been using the Carnivore hunting lights for a couple years now and can not say enough about them. This years model, the Carnivore 2 Magnum shooting light and Head Light are the best I have ever used.

In Pennsylvania we hunt a lot of different terrain. This light covers those long open fields with a super bright focused light (I have not found or seen any brighter)and can also be ramped down for the big woods or tight spots. You decide the brightness for your given stand situation. You would expect to pay several hundred dollars for this light but you won't. Check them out for yourself at EW Calls.

Almost all those hunting lights sold out there are Chinese made lights. Go to dhgate.com and pick the one you want for 5 times less.

Did you know all screws, nuts and bolts are made in china. I do not know if that ever changed. I did a job for the military
and the specks stated 70% of a sound system parts and assembly must be made in America. There were no electronic parts made in the usa. That was 25 years ago.I even think still today all screws, nuts and bolts are made over seas
Everything you type, phone calls use all electronic parts from china. All the leds and circuit parts for lights are made over seas.I do not think there is anything made in the USA. I think it is just assembled here.

I have spent hundreds of dollars searching for a great light. I think I have tried just about every one on the market. The Carnivore Magnum shoot light is AMAZING !! After experiencing the quality and brightness of the shoot light, I purchased the headlight for scanning. I was not disappointed. I love the ability to ramp the brightness up and down depending on where I'm hunting.
I'm Not a sponsor or trying to sell anyone anything here. I'm Just a die hard predator Hunter giving an honest opinion of my experience of trying numerous lights out there on the market and what I've experienced to be an outstanding light. The Carnivore lights are top notch.

I agree Foxhunter 23 like you I also have spent hundreds of dollars on both scanning headlights and gun mounted shooting lights over the years many that are mentioned on this site. This year like most other years I once again decided I needed a new light. This time I purchased the Carnivore 2 shooting light. Wow was I surprised when I received it Brighter then any light I have by far. Not only is it bright and throws a nice bright beam in the middle of the light it also shows light to the sides making it easier when your following a predator on the move, unlike some lights where to get any distends you need to zoom the light in and end up with just a small area lighted up. Also like you since I hunt open fields and wooded areas the ability to make the light dimmer or brighter is a nice advantage.

What Im saying is that I have seen many lights out there that are the same Chinese knockoff light with different names on them. I won't mention the names of the lights but if you do your own research you can buy the same lights for several $'s less. You could even come up with a fancy fox or coyote hunting name and have them decal it on the light and sell it. Look at all the housings of the lights, they are all the same.

I like many will review all of these lights when we feel the need to replace our old Chinese lights. One problem with all those lights for the most part they look alike. They seem to not mark anything so the average person can not tell the difference between them.

I try to buy USA made whenever possible and cost is usually the final decision. Our sponsors and our members are a great bunch of people here that do quite well keeping us informed on the very fast changing market for our sport and i thank you all for that.

I will be able to make a very informed decision when i make my next purchase from the suggestions from many veteran people on this forum. Thank you all !

I hope the moderators understand I am not pushing my product (but you asked) and I am not going to let it go unanswered. Plese do not set questions up that only I can answer.
The headlights are close to last years lights in candela if ramped up to hight output. I sell them as 7 candela. Some are stronger and go around 11 candela but i still sell them at the lower 7 candella out put so people get what they pay for. But they have a different reflector to spread the beam out more that this year and lowers the candela out put a little. Some people think a more spead out beam is easier on predators and less spooky to them.
Me, I can notice no difference on predators. But i try and give what the customers are looking for.
