Sense we are on the subject of cass creek, how well does the Cass Creek Game Call Speaker
Model 082 work?

I was thinking about using it with mp3 player for a small and compax caller. Who well do they work? Are they loud enough?

I have one and on non windy days it seems plenty loud but here in Oklahoma that's about 1 day out of month. I have used it and called in predators but I also have a Radio Shack musical power horn that I have used on my homemade ecaller. It has a built in amp and is a lot louder than the cass creek speaker. I found one one ebay for about $20. What I do like about the little cass creek speaker is its small and can be put in a fanny pack! I don't use it that much but it is handy to have every once in a while.

What I am wanting it for is it's size. How big is the radio shack one compared to the cass creek one? I would like it to be able to be loud but I know that it is a trade off. The place I hunt is about two through the woods to get to so a large speaker and amp gets very old lugging it around to all the different set that I make.

I have the Casscreek , the speaker is ok , but not very loud at all . That is actually a good thing in the way I set up and the area I call in . When I want lots of volume I go to the big speaker .... go to your local CB shop ( yes those do still exist ) and get you an External Amplified Speaker/PA speaker .

Now the key to that is , practice practice practice , and know the speakers limitations .... sometimes it'll get rattley if you go too loud .

The only other thing I can tell ya is ....start putting some cash back like me so you can get you a better caller , Casscreek works ( I have 1 ) but it's not the best in the line , and I accept it for what I use it for , and plan on getting a better one as my calling style changes .

I have a big caller that runs off of my mp3 player plenty loud enough just to big somethimes. And I am talking about external cass creek amp and speaker not the player.

I'm talking about the speaker too

I'd look into a smaller Pioneer speaker if it's a size isuue .... maybe even replace the spaeker in the Cass with a higher grade speaker .
