Cass Creek Predator Call

Hi All... first post

I recently bought a Cass Creek Predator call (http://www.casscreek.com/demo_predator.html)

My problem is Im just getting into coyote hunting and Im not real sure if this is a good call. To me it sounds "mechanical". Has anyone on here ever used one with success. Also, what technique do you use with it, do you blast the distess call continuesly or do you wait in between calls?

Run your call for the entire stand. It will call predators, but you pretty much get what you pay for. That said, sounds are way down the list of what's important. Location, setup, knowledge of the game, etc. are far more important.

I have a cass creek.
It is a little "mechanical" but it will call yotes.
I would turn it on and off. Like "on" for 5 -30 seconds and "off" for 2-3 minutes. Then repeat with a little change in the sound or time "on" or "off".
I've never had much luck with continuous calling.
The previous post is correct ...alot more of getting coyotes "in the truck" is the set up and are you calling where coyotes are located. Good luck!
 
I have one and used it a couple of times and called in a couple foxes. I agree with what you say about the sound but it probably is close enough to the real thing to get them curious enough to check it out.
