cast bullet load data

Does anyone have any load date for a 120gr cast bullet in a 30-30 win using either H4198 or Varget powder?

That is way light for a cast bullet. Most cast bullet 30-30 loads start around 169gr.

I used to have a Lyman cast bullet manual. Gave it to a bud and haven't seen it again.

IIRC, most of the 30-30 cast loads I've seen start around 150gr., but I am not really that familiar. I usually only load cast bullets in revolvers these days...........

Don't have a load, but if your going to shoot 120gr over 4198 or varget at speed, you need to use gas checks. If you don't, you will spend all your free time getting lead out of the barrel.

Lyman 3rd edition doesnt show anything for those powders.
