cci 200 LR primers

I've been useing these all the time because it's all they had during the shortage and I'd like to use them up. What do you think of these primers and will I get better accurracy with different ones?

I have used almost 1000 of the cci 200 lr. I have not had problems with these. I switched to fed 210 only because I hear they are better. I have nothing factual to base that on. I also hear many people choose and prefer the win primers. To be honest I dont think there is that much of a difference.

I haven't reloaded in a long time. I just don't shoot that much anymore. I have never used anything BUT CCI primers. I never had a problem with them.

In my bolt guns I try to use nothing but Winchester, in AR's I use nothing but CCI. IF all I had was CCI LR I would use them and never give it a second thought.

I have used Remington, Federal, Winchester and CCI primers in most of my rifles that I have and for me I seem to have the best luck with CCI primers for accuracy.

I don't think, with todays quality control standards, that any brand is more accurate than another in a given rifle. Some will shoot more accurate with a given load though. I've done some small scale tests with different primers (manufacturers and standard vs. mag), using the same loads, and I've seen groups open and close with the different primers. Their was a difference in the velocity in both extreme spread and standard deviation as well.

If you have an acceptably accurate load worked up for your rifle with the CCI's I'd keep using them. If you want to tinker with changing primers I'd recommend switching between standard and magnums first.

Unless you go all anal retentive bench rest style on us in your reloading, and you buy a very expensive rig to shoot your loads out of, it is unlikely that primer brand will be the the factor that determines accuracy.
