Child Porn Ring

Anyone see that several Roman Catholic priests were arrested in the most recent child porn bust. I am not trying to start another "anyone read the bible" post up again but this just goes to show you can not trust anyone unless you know them well, like family as far as I am concerned. The outdoors are my church and I am going to keep it that way. I dont need anyone else's help in teaching my kids about leading a moral life. If there is a hell I hope these guys burn there for a long time. The stories are on AZREPUBLIC.com.

Also a school bus driver. I have seen way too many professions that are entrusted with children (and grandchildren) mentioned in this story for my peace of mind.

I was in the mental health field for many years. Guess what fields have the highest ratio of child molesters? The answer is any field where children are entrusted to adults. Bus drivers, sunday school teacher, etc, etc. The prey is there, the job and the trust put the kids at ease. Bingo, abuse.

Just like the profession with the highest level of arsonists working in it is fire departments.

Strange, huh?

But, yes, I hope they rot and burn for all of eternity.

There was a AZ radio personality joking recently saying that: school buses, priest robes, ice-cream trucks, and clown makeup are all forms of pedofile-paraphanalia (sp).

Scary how many people we trust our kids to are dangerous. My kid is 16mos old and we've only used a babysitter (wifes female cousin) twice because were so paranoid.

'Priests'....
It's a shame that the name of Christ is tarnished because of these goofs.

i'm not so sure that people in these professions become pedophiles, i think pedophiles more often seek these professions.

My simple response: If you're convicted of sexually molesting a child, you're dead.
You rape someone, you're dead.
You kill someone, we'll talk about it.

That should be national law.

Encore,

I couldn't agree with you more.

ENCORE FOR PRESIDENT!

BTW had to add that this is not a joking matter, but if more people would think like Encore we would be a lot better off.

Only problem with harsh and FINAL penalites like that, is that they are less likely to be applied due to the severity of the punishment, and the problems with "proof".

Becomes counter-productive in the end.

I heard on the radio this AM that a guy in an Islamic country in Africa (I think) had his hand cut off for theft.
He was not allowed to have a lawyer.
There wasn't enough proof beyond a reasonable doubt, according to the report. The report also hinted that the real reason that he got hand-putated was because he wasn't a Muslim, but a Christian.

Schoolchildren Strip-Searched for Lost $5
Fri Mar 22, 8:13 AM ET

KANSAS CITY (Reuters) - A school principal and a teacher were ordered to stay home from school on Thursday after a class of third graders were strip-searched when $5 in lunch money disappeared.

The money did not turn up in Monday's search of the 26 students, who were between 8 and 9 years of age.

"There was a strip search. The kids were asked to take off their clothes. The female teacher searched the girls and the male teacher the boys," Kansas City School District spokesman Edwin Birch said.

Pitcher Elementary School Principal Jana Schwimmer and an unnamed teacher were ordered to stay away from work, though not officially suspended, pending an investigation of the incident, Birch said. It was not clear why both teachers were not removed.

Under Missouri rules, schoolchildren can be ordered to empty their pockets but not strip-searched...

I think we as Americans tend to get a little bloodthirsty at times. I don't think automatic death sentences are the answer.

I do think our prison system is too soft.
No TV, just newspapers and books.. No deserts. Etc.

We also need to educate our children so they have more options. Teachers in New Paltz, N.Y. just got a contract for an 11.5% raise over 4 years. That's a good contract for some. However, I'll get 12% over 3 years to work in a Quarry!

You think that is bloodthirsty?

What possible reason is there to allow a child sexual molester to continue to live?

Okay, i'll back off: Death should be an option.
Sentence, you have the option of:
a) immediate death by electric chair or drowning
b) spending 24 hours chained to a table in a locked room with the father, uncles, grandfathers, brothers, neighbors, local cops, family, and friends of the child you abused, to be followed by life in prison without possibility of parole
(in the event of death during the initial 24 hours, your remaining sentence of life in prison would of course become void)

Robb, i see your point, i know what you're saying-- an unfortunate after-effect, i'll admit.

I dont think they deserve newspapers or books, it's not supposed to be a resort... these people commited crimes, they should pay dearly for them!!

And waiting 20 years to kill someone who is sentenced to death is ridiculous, they should have a chance at one appeal within the year, and if it has the same outcome as the first case, then take them out the back door and execute them!!

You can call me bloodthirsty or anything else you want, but I honestly believe thats part the blame for whats wrong in this country to begin with!! To hell with rehabilitation, even the criminals admit they CAN NOT be rehabilitated...

I do agree with you about educating the children, after all KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!!
And our teachers are under paid and over worked... Just my opinions on these...

Automatic death sentences would save us lots of money if we did it right, and it would bring real justice to these creeps. I hear George Bush is pro death penalty. I heard there was more executions in Texas while he was governor than any other period in any state. Dont know if its true but thats what I was told. I think he is a good president either way. If Gore were elected we would probably be learning how to speak Afghani right now.

In my world there would be no 2nd offense pedophiles.

I would kill them as soon as they're identified.

You can call that anything you want.
