Chronograph

Used the Athlon last week, forgot to push OK to start the string, but it worked fine. Did a couple rifles and couple pistols. Found the can increased fps on one rifle.

My only bitch with the Garmin is the 47 times you have to push the buttons to get started.

That's one of the reason I would look at the Athlon, which I believe is a bit better in that regard from looking at reviews.

My complaint about the Athlon (which may not matter) if you wanted to open and add to an existing string (same load different day), you can't .(IE bigger sample for velocity and es/sd)

Not sure you can with the garmin either though.

Garmin C2's do allow strings to be re-opened to allow additional shots to be added to the string.

I have a bunch of Chrony's, 16 currently. If I only had one, it would be a Garmin C2.

For any interested, I'm happy to share my data here as well which reflects the respective issues which befall the Athlons compared to LabRadar LX's and Garmins.

I'd be interested.

The only reason I never got a LabRadar was the speed limit. Almost everything I shoot is over 4,000 fps.

I dont have a chrony quite yet, but most likely will get the athlon at some point.

Fwiw, if your mil or 1st responder, check out expertvoice. Ive had the app for a while now, and i check for brands on there before i make any bigger purchase. Similar to govx, but i think their deals are better most of the time. I only buy athlon through them now!
