I found that book from Chuck Adams, the way to check for proper arrow balance. For the sake of easy measurements it goes as follows. 1st measure the entire length of your arrow complete with nock and tip " field tip or Broadhead" Lets say the measurement is 30". Next balance your arrow on a pencil and put a mark on the arrow at the point where the arrow is balanced. Now put a mark at the exact center of your arrow, in this case its 15". Now measure the distance between exact center and where the arrow actually balances. In his diagram it showed the arrow balanced at 3" forward of exact center. That 3 inches equal 10 percent. He states for proper arrow flight, you want to be between 7 to 10 percent. SO to break it down divide the total length by the difference in inches from balance point and exact center. I hope this did not just cause you to fall asleep. I have used this method for many years, and it improved my accuracy and arrow flight.
