Where is the best place close to Las Vegas to get into good numbers of Chukar, without having to go to northern Nevada?
I have hunted them in Beatty, but not very often...
 
Supose to be some upnear cold creek and out in the rainbow canyon area. But I dont know specifics. Or you can always head to the bird ranches in Mesquite and pay fer em.
 
I've always had pretty good luck ontop of ridges mountain ridges. Lots of people from Vegas go to Sterling area. I was there a few times and there was just a butt load of chukar everywhere.
The best chukar hunting I've done was when I stumbled on them. They are really hard to get. Good Luck
