CJ is on the board!

Congratulations, CJ. Don't worry Mark, you'll get the hang of it before the end of the season. ;) :ROFLMAO:
Clarence that is a LOT of faith in a Tacoma owner....;)🤣🤣🤣

Mark honestly we know you can hunt, and well the Tacoma is actually neat to be honest..... But if we didn't tease ya a bit you would think we didn't like you.
AND C.J. Sir, keep it up Sir, great job Love the post Best of Luck in your future hunts.

Luckily that smaller wheelbase allowed me to back down that blocked section and only had to drag her about 30-40yds to get her loaded, lol!!
Hunting with him has been a hoot this year. We had to get some pillows for that chair so he’d be high enough to shoot downhill over the rail of that Tower Stand. I’m just tickled pink the hunting bug finally bit him!! So far we’ve (all hunters combined) taken 18 does off the property and regular season just opened this weekend. That’ll slacken up a bit with the rut kicking off in a few weeks, but once everyone shoots their buck, we’ll be back at it.
May use a thermal rifle with me verifying sex for a future hunt. He mentioned how “cool” that would be this evening.

CJ and his older brother, Zachary, went this evening back to the same stand and Zac shot one of the biggest does I’ve seen!

One the other hunters shot a doe this evening as well. That makes 20 so far, only 30 more to go, lol!

Man, to see the outdoors bug bite him is awesome! He wanted some new hunting clothes, a bait caster and tackle box, a rattle pack (for fighting, lol), and a grunt tube for Christmas. I told him we’d also have him his own suppressed rifle for next season. He’s about to talk me into a suppressed .22 to shoot squirrels while we wait for deer, lol. I’m hoping to get him his first turkey this coming Spring!!

We looked at his license history, and he killed a doe in 2020. A buck in ‘22 and ‘24. So he went maybe 4-5 times over those years and that was it. It was this past Spring that something clicked and he loves to go. Even my younger son Zac has gotten back into it. He and CJ are in competition to see who can kill the fattest doe. They’re both at 5 each and 1 buck each.

What’s even cooler is my wife going. Now she just wants to go watch, but that’s fine with me too. We have a blast in the stand and she’s gotten really good at spotting deer. We’ve been blessed with an outstanding rut and she’s “cheering” for the does, lol. She’s like “run girl, run!” I’ll be honest, I think it’s really brought us closer together. Not that we were far apart, but y’all know what I mean. I even hear her talking to her girlfriends on the phone telling them about our hunts, lol.

If there was ever a perfect chain of events, you seem to be a key link in it, Mark! As Clarence has said, you are truly blessed to have this unfold around you. Always love reading about CJ's outings and how it is bringing you guys closer as a secondary effect. It's beautiful buddy!
