Lucas bore guide, and a dewey rod, dewey's are not carbon but they are really good rods.

im using the otis elite kit too. thats the only kit ive used so i dont know what to compare to. it seems to work good to me. only thing is the special patches are hard to find and pricy for me.

I use Dewey and like them a lot. Also I always use a bore guide. I know of two gunsmiths that I use that don't recommend using a carbon rod because they believe they can do damage to the barrel.

+1 for the Bore Tech, IMO they have the best handles and will spin forever. Bore guides, Mike Lucas guides are simply the best.

I use Tipton rods.Forget what brand the guides are.IMO the Otis kit is a must have in the field.They're only about 15 miles from where I live.
