I'm looking at buying my first good scope for my newly acquired Tikka T3 Stainless 223 1-8 twist rifle. In the past the best scope I had bought was a Mueller and it has served me well, but i'm looking to upgrade a notch or two. I'm trying to keep it around the $400 mark, so I have narrowed it down to the Clearidge Ultra XP 6-20x40, Sightron SII 4-24x42 or the new Vortex Diamondback HP. I'm leaning more towards the Clearidge, but I can't find that much information on them in all the forums. I would love some input from anyone that has experience with either or all of these scopes. Thanks in advance for the help.

None of those listed are "good" scopes. The Sightron is decent, the Vortex...well, its a Vortex, and the other is an unknown.

I would recommend backing off on the power a but, and buying a truly decent piece of glass.
