Texas allows recreational harvest of fur bearers year round with no bag, but cannot be sold without a trappers license in conjunction with trapping season.

Non-game requires a hunting license.

Totally ridiculous! Coyotes breed so fast that they are practically overrunning us. Out here, the ranchers are begging for coyote hunters. Nobody hunts them anymore. Come north brother. We would love to have you

Frogs legs are good to eat, flying squirrels are often kept as pets with right permits, ground squirrels shot similar to prairie dogs, armadillos wreck havoc on your yard and so one. Several reasons to take non-game animas.
