Colt Whitetailer?

Holy Crap might be worth that, but unless that thing has one or more pliable orifices on it then I would have to say No Way Jose! Aint a .357 magnum ever made worth that. Not even close.

I just checked on gunbroker to see what prices are on my 8" ported anaconda. People are asking for about 2g to 3,500g on up and getting it. I'm debating on putting mine on there n using the cash for an AR and a SBE2. Idiotic prices for 500.00 guns!

Yeah, they only made a few because nobody wanted to buy them. Cost more than a Python did back in those days.

Besides, almost everyone that wanted a handgun to deer hunt with chose a .44 Mag instead of a .357 and this was years before Colt had a .44 on the market.

This was one of the iconic handguns that was part of the handgun hunting trend in the late 70s and into 1980s. Others being the Python, the Ruger Redhawk, Contender, XP, and so on.

With that said, $3500 is a bit optimistic unless there's something else about this gun that makes it special. While anything can sell at any price, I would say the odds are stacked against getting $3500 for an average one on a regular basis. Good luck to them. Obviously, a look at auction results both online and live gives a better picture of what is realistic and it isn't $3500.

Back in the '70s, Colt revolvers, with the exception of the Trooper .357, had one of the better reputations for smooth actions and great let offs without a high degree of stoning like the S&Ws needed for super smooth actions...

Somewhere around '91, Colt produced an Anaconda .44 Magnum in Real Tree camo with a matching scope and carry bag...I had one for a few years that was never fired and wound up doubling my money on it...The action was nothing like the earlier ones...But, it was a unique firearm..If I had it back today, I could probably quadruple+ my money as I saw one listed for just under $3500...
