I am in the market for a new hunting jacket,

I hunt over here in Oregon where we have lots of trees and it rains quite a bit, but i will also be hunting in fields also so i need something that is pretty versitale,

Im looking for something under $100 that is waterproof.

I found this:
http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templa...rentId=cat60043 6&parentType=index&rid=&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fcatalog%2Fitem-link.jhtml_A&_DAV=MainCatcat470076&hasJS=true

And was wondering if anyone here has experience with Columbias Wool clothing line?

Thanks

Nick~

Wool is very heavy when wet, I have it and use it, but it is heavy.
I got a coat from Cabelas. Alaskan Pro series rain parka. it is great. Quiet, dry, loads of pockets, nice hood(removable) and right at $100.
I used to live in Canby, built a load of houses in Tigard.
Good hunting

Don't know if you have a Gander Mountain around you but my wife bought me a pair of the wool camo hunting pants for Christmas. haven't used thme yet as it's been warm around here lately. They do look very well made and fit perfectly. She got them on sale for about $54.oo there whcih is a good discount from the $100 for sure. Was out there the other day and they had a pile of them to sell yet.

If you are looking at the Columbia stuff I have a set and although I like them they are diffinatly NOT windproof by any stretch! Better get something under the pants as the front around the zipper gets D@*N cold in a breeze. The top does feel a little better but something "windshear/goretex" would help under it!
