That looks like a big patch of public land intermixed with private. Looking at OnX and photos from the CNGL sight it looks like an interesting place for a predator hunting trip. Any info would be appreciated. PM me if you want to keep it off the net.

I have killed coyotes between Pueblo and Rocky Ford but have never been down in there SE area.

Thanks

The Grass Lands is a great place to shoot P-Dogs, some times but it's to close to Greeley and Denver , and is covered up with Predator hunters on weekends, that's how it's been when i have been up there. YMMV Murl B.

Sure your not thinking about the Pawnee national grasslands. Comanche is about as far away from Greeley as you can get and stay within CO. Comanche is on the Oklahoma/Colorado border south of Lamar.

I've hunted there a fair amount. It's a neat area. In late September/early October, you should run into the Tarantula migration.

As you can see, it is a large area, with a diverse topography. It's about 400,000+ acres, so there is room to roam. It has some very remote areas, so be prepared to help yourself out of a jam. If you go in winter, consider taking a Sat phone with you.

K-22, My son hunts Speed Goats down there when he can draw a tag, 2 or 3 years ago he go snowed in down there had a Hell of a Time getting his outfit out. Murl B.

Murl, many folks think the mountains can get bad when it snows, and, of course, it can, but the Eastern Plains can kill you just as easily.

I spent 12 years living east of Fargo ND. One storm it took me four days to clear my driveway with an AC WD-45 and a 7' snow blower then I had to wait another 7 days for the county to clear the main road. My neighbor, a dairy farmer was feeding his milk back and dumping the rest till the truck could get into his place.

K-22, I was born and raised on a ranch in N.W. Colorado, so i know what your talking about, still have a place in Colorado, but i'm a Texas transplant for many years, Colorado got to clogged up with Men mounting Men instead of Mountain Men. Murl B.
