Would a Corgi dog be good for hunting, Ground squirrels, Rabbits, Coon maybe , ect...Small varmints and such. Im in the middle of training one with a ground squirrel pelt, he looks like hes a quick learer...thanks in advance

I got a Corgi and she will attack a small animal as long as it's in front of her and she's not gonna run a rabbit much further than she can see it. They was developed to herd not hunt and about all the hunting instinct they possess is to kill whatever small rodent pops up in front of them. She's a smart sweet little dog that thinks shes way bigger than she is and I've seen her snap at way bigger dogs. But she can't back it up as any longer legged hound will bear down on her (with her short legs) and roll her right over. So i do watch her pretty close as I've seen her start fights she can't finish. She has helped my other dogs kill many a coon and seems to do alright and once she did encounter a coon out of its den on a cold winter day and she was tearing right into its face, but the other dogs closed and killed it. If the fight was just her and the coon I know she'd be in for it.

Do you know of anywhere I could see a pic of these dogs? I'm sort of curious about them and was wondering if they were bred for killing rats on ships years ago? Thanks!!
