Here's how I view the term "Harvest"

If you didn't plant it, you can't "Harvest" it.

If you shot it, then you "Killed" it. Or, you "Took" it. You cannot grow an animal from the dirt so therefore it cannot be "Harvested" only things like wheat, corn, and pumpkins can be harvested.

I guess I have problems with that term because I feel like it is an imposition upon us by the masses of politically correct Liberals who can't stand the word "Kill" so the word "Harvest" is substituted to make it sound nicer. Doesn't matter how you say it, it's still killing an animal no matter how much sugar you put on it.

My state's game regulation handbook is full of the word "Harvest" and I've tried correcting them on that, but they don't see it my way.
