cow elk call

I was wondering if anyone else ha tried Carlton's calls brand cow elk call for a rabbit distress? I use it and it sounds great, I saw it used by Ed Wimberly in the predaror video:
Opeation Predator He has great sucess with it, so last year I bout one and tried it, called up a yote, but missed. Try again this year /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I too have used the Carlton elk call along with simularly constructed calls by Johnny Stewart, Sceery and Quaker Boy to name a few. They are great calls but the down side is that I have a tendancy to lock up the reed and then they don't work well at all, even after reversing the call and tryig to blow the spit out.

You're right, does need a bit of tapping the spit out of it, but has a great sound, I also have a few other Johnny Stewart calls and love them too. Gonna try them out again soon.
