Cool.
Got a couple of dumb questions for you. Assume you are using an IR illuminator? Notice your scope is ATN and I purchased an ATN from Cabellas probably 10-12 years ago. It was last one of a closeout. Took it out and could see the target frame, but was unable to see a 100 yard targets on the frame. Called ATN and they said it was defective; to send it back and they would fix it. Since Cabellas has a liberal return policy, I called them to see if I sent scope to ATN and it still did not provide positive ID beyond 100 yards could I return it to Cabelas. They said no, so I returned the scope to Cabellas, thus ending my interest in night vision. Now for the questions.
1) Assuming you were using an illuminator, I noticed you kept the target in the fringe of the light. Is the IR beam visible to coyotes (but to a lesser degree) than a regular spot light?
2) I'm now wondering if perhaps an IR illuminator would have improved the scope or if it was defective? Had nothing to compare to back then.
