I have hunted in three different hunts and I dont know if there is anyway to stop dishonest people. It will be hard on a two day hunt to tell between a two day old kill or a three day old kill. also it will be impossible to stop the night hunters. We were in a hunt last year and 1st place killed 40 coyotes and 2nd killed 38. To sum it up they were hunting on dead cows they planted in different areas. Two days before the hunt they went to different cattle ranches and got there fresh dead cows and planted them. During the night they would drive from cow to cow and shoot 2-3 off of each one. 40 coyotes in 24 hours is a lot of coyotes to compete with. Now they have a lie detector test for all winning places and if you fail you dont win anything. There is also a list of rules as long as your leg. I like competition but it really takes the fun out of it when people take advantage of your friendly competition. When money or prizes are involved you just invite that sort of thing. You will always have a cheater and you just cant stop it. Personally I would rather have a nice ralaxing day of calling without wondering how the cheaters will edge you out this time.
