Coyote Gestation Period

Anyone know what the gestation period is for coyotes? Will coyote pups be eating on there own by July 1?

52-53 days for fox..63 days for coyotes.

I beieive wrong,I knew fox were 52-53 days just from working with them normaly it was 52,and I was always under the impression coyotes were too,but I had to check it out after I seen 63 posted and it is 63 days ,so are grey fox,and wolves 63 too or 9 weeks,I geuss you learn something new everyday. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Heck,I thought red and grey fox were the same...I guess we both learned something today.

63 days and yes. KS coyotes generally begin taking the pups on their first training ventures in early June. By July, the pups are learning how to hunt and catch prey and ma and pa have them well onto solid foods.
