Hey, anyone out there in bellingham? Ive been a unsuccessful coyote hunter this year and want to know if there are any locals who would be willing to share some tips tactics and good areas?

Hi,
Any luck yet? I am new to this and live in Puyallup area. Been up
to Carbon River no luck yet. I have heard of areas west of Chehalis
and there are a lot of farms so livestock I would think leads to
Coyotes.
Good luck let me know if you find something.

NW Washington is a tough ticket. If you see/hear a couple per year, you're doing fine, if you get a shot, you're doing good. Kill one and call it a sucess. Kill a few and you're a guru!

Most Wet side guys go East when they want some trigger time. Killing Coyotes on the west side, with the private land, heavy population, no-shoot areas, gun restriction areas, thick brush, and steep mountians, is a trophy hunt (for bad fur!)

Best bet in Bellingham would be knocking lots and lots of doors, and carefully and thoughtfully planning out one or two stands per property, and hitting them no more than once or twice per year.

Thanks for the info. I will do a lot of door knocking like you suggest
and see how it goes. Where exactly is good on the eastside. I have
never been east of Cle Elum so it will all be new to me. Thanks again
for the advice Wed. Is my day off so will be trying early morning.

I am just south of you - Mt. Vernon.
I use to hunt up around Ferndale and other area's east of I-5, but that was many many years ago. Got my first "coydog" in the Ferndale area back in the 70's.
