Has anyone put out a good hunting vest for predator hunting. I have been looking at some of the turkey vest out there and I am not really pleased with the set up for predator hunting.

Guess I've never seen the need for a special vest. If the stuff I carry doesn't fit in the pockets on my jacket and in my pants and around my neck, then I'm trying to carry too much stuff! Sometimes less stuff is better!

I saw somebody talking about a half vest which merely buckles around your waiste and has all kinds of pockets. go here:

I have to agree with songdog here. Up until last year I carried a full backpack while elk hunting, and the feeling I had was "oh there is extra space, I must stick something else in there"

This year I went to a redhead hydration backpack with about 1/3 of the space of my normal backpack. It is amazing how much fluff I was trying to pack in and out. I am just starting to get serious about predator hunting, and I hope to do the same here "K.I.S.S"

If I am carrying 3 yotes out /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I sure as heck don't want to be weighed down by "xtras"

I agree with you guys on carrying too much. I have heard of someone making a vest with the padded seat and special pockets for a few predator calls and remotes for e-callers.
