Coyote hunting with Antelope in distress call?

Hello,

I just ordered a Foxpro call CS-24B with 100 calls of my choice.

Amongst the sounds I picked was the antelope fawn in distress.

Has anybody used this sound with success?

I'm near Medicine Hat, Alberta. There are plenty of antelope around.

Thanks, Eric

if thats what they feed on it i dont see why not to use it. we have plenty antilope in arizona, but im in low country so i dont use it but if what is around and is plenty they would come to it, but make sure to use it when the fawns are fawns cuz make no sens to use it when are no fawns , cuz i think they know their seasons (the coyotes). i assuming .

I have used it very successfully from end of hunting season (around Dec 1st) thru the winter when hunting in and around antelope. That time of year they bunch up in big groups and the coyotes hang out around the edges. I find it often works better than jack rabbit distress sounds especially if there has been a lot of completion in the area and the coyotes have been educated.

Give it a fair chance and I’ll bet you will be happy with the results especially if you have a lot of antelope in the area.

I shot 2 in October using the antelope fawn cry with coyote barks in the mix...like they were eating it. My coyotes both came in running & barking till....booom!
Im thinking they were mad as heck as other coyotes were eating "thier" food in thier territory.

This is what I was thinking. There's a few valleys and areas the antelope bunch up to winter. I was thinking of trying the antelope sounds in these areas.

Thanks for some first hand experience.

This is a great idea. I'll give it a shot.

Thanks.

You'll be happy with the antelope distress & the CS24.

The new Growling Coyote sound is a good one to mix in with that as well.

I live and hunt coyotes in KY. We have no antelope. I have called coyotes in using the antelope fawn distress.

My Unlce has the CS 24B. It is top of the line.

+1 I have called a couple of predators with it when I had my foxpros.
