Coyote Hunting with Decoys and using Scent Tips

Long time lurker based on the quantity and high quality of information. Sorry, but I believe the sequence at 21:21 should have been edited out. Regularly pass on better shots.
Thanks for your suggestion. However we are hunting this farm because the yotes have been recon havok on calves. So when we get the opportunity to take one out we do it. That’s the whole purpose we are there. We also don’t edit bad shots and misses because that’s not the reality of hunting we try and film what happens as it happens. We make some really good shots, we miss, we make some bad shots and that’s all part of getting out there and hunting. Normally we would have tried and finished the coyote earlier but we had one behind us as well and two of our guys were trying to take tha one out as well. That’s why we paused for a second before the car drove by. Hope this answers some of your concerns. All comments and suggestions are always welcomed so thanks for engaging keep it up.

K. I started hunting when I moved to SD over 5 years ago. After a lifetime of fishing I had no interest in hunting until a Native American I met out here offered to take me to his reservation to hunt coyotes. I was indifferent to hunting until he told me while he has a deep respect for wildlife he's seen a coyote grab a lamb by the throat and hang on until it's dead then walk away and not eat it. The economic aspect of someone losing livestock to a predator like this changed my mind and I got in touch with a farmer I met who had told me I could come to his farm and hunt coyotes any time (even though he has Great Pyrenees who protect his livestock). For sport, I always do everything I can for a one shot kill. Knowing your circumstances, in your situation I would probably have done the same.
